Layout of Geography Project

Hi all,

It is advised to split the research into 5 areas for each climate type. 

1) Animals- what animals live in this climate?
2) Plants
3) Weather- what weather is found in this climate?
4) Countries
5) People

More details will be given to the children in class tomorrow.

CareChoice suggestion

Hi all, Recently, we reached out to CareChoice nursing home to see if there was anything we could do to cheer up the residents during this lonely time. They said that the best way to make contact and cheer up the residents at the moment would be to get the children to make a card, draw/paint a picture, make a piece of art etc and get parents to take a picture and email it to them. They also suggested videos of the children singing a song or doing a dance, or Easter cards/art etc , anything to cheer the residents up as they have had a no visitors policy for the last three weeks.   CareChoice said that they will print off the artwork that is sent to them and stick it up around the place for residents to see. Hannah's Class: Geography project

Hi all, The children will be completing a project over the next 2 weeks on a given Climate type (Polar, Temperate, Arid, Tropical, Mediterranean.) They will be given time during school to research facts on their climate type. I will go through the layout of their projects and what is to be expected from each child. I will be sending an a2 sheet of paper home with them on Thursday and from next week onward, they will be expected to complete project work as homework in addition to their spellings and maths. The project work will account for their reading homework as they will be researching and reading facts online. I do not expect the children to spend more than 5-10 minutes on their project each night. I want them to enjoy the researching and learning involved and I do not want anyone to get stressed! Assembly Friday 28th Feb (Hannah's Class)

Hi all, I hope you had a lovely break! This week is our assembly and we are focusing on the theme of teamwork mixed with Literacy week. The children have been given their lines/drama groups so I ask that they start practising each night. The chosen song for the assembly is 'We're all in this together' by High School Musical cast. I will be giving out the lyric sheets tomorrow and if the children can start learning the song (chorus and 1 verse) from tomorrow on, that would be great!
